M. Wright is a Brooklyn-based artist and the author of a boy named jane (2017, Bottlecap Press). She was the winner of ArtWords and the Atlantis Award, a finalist for Best of the Net, and was nominated for Pushcart Prize. Living with OCD, Wright examines compulsive repetition, rituals, and the tension between the surreal, the existential, and the cartoon in everyday life. M. is currently working on a series of “found-object” paintings with canvases sourced from stoop-freebies along her studio commute.
